Maxi-Gator

Maxi-Gator

Here a picture from December of 2009 of the largest gator I've found on LaChua Trail.

Dom and I found him laying next to a six foot gator at the "nursery" and judged "Maxi" to be around 16 feet.

We couldn't prove it 'cause the tape measure was too short! (kidding!)

We did use the size of the known six foot gator and the Nose to Eyes Rule to approximate his size.

The length of the gator is approximately: the distance of the nose bump to the eye, in inches, is equal to the gator in feet.
